• Expression of Interest are invited for Assessing Physical Activity and Perception of Neighborhood Walkability In Riyadh; Saudi Arabia SCOPE OF WORK: The consultant is expected to undertake data collection in a representative sample of adult Saudi residents living in seven districts in Riyadh; Saudi Arabia (Hetteen; Alaqeeq; Sahafah; Rabea; Alnada; Alnefel; and Alwadi). Specifically; the consultant will: (i) pilot the survey (n=25); (ii) conduct a population-based sample selection in the designated district areas; (iii) survey the respondents (n=2000); (iv) resurvey a subset of respondents 7-21 days later (n=100); (v) produce sample weights and a clean data set of responses along with a data dictionary explaining each variable; and (vi) contribute to analyses and archiving the data; and preparation of the survey report. These tasks will have agreed data quality standards associated with them. The consultant is expected to work closely with the KFSHRC team in accomplishing the tasks above.The survey will be administered in-person in Arabic; using Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) which involves collecting the data electronically via a tablet in the field. The consultant firm will be responsible for providing adequate tablets and accessories (such as power banks; adaptors; and data transfer cables); cloud storage (as applicable); and other survey materials for their data collectors. This includes adequate tablets and accessories for each data collectors and spare equipment in case of malfunction or loss. All equipment and supplies for data collection must be provided by the consultant firm.Pursuant to the World Bank Information Security Policy for Contractors (AMS 6.20G) and KSA Regulation on Personal Data Transfer outside the geographical boundaries of the Kingdom; firms should include in their proposals information on procedures to adhere to ethical norms and standards including potential risks and mitigation strategies. This includes information on maintaining confidentiality; consent; and data storage and use. Firms should describe data privacy policies and requirements; including information on the firm-s data protection rules in handling data privacy; how personal data will be handled; and what monitoring procedures will be put in place to ensure data security and privacy. Please see Annex 3 (World Bank Group personal data annex) for further information on contractual requirements related to data privacy and protection.The KFSHRC team will be responsible for acquiring ethical clearance necessary for conducting the survey. In all data collection activities; written consent (as applicable; per the KFSHRC-s Institutional Review Board requirements) will be sought following the provision of information to potential participants informing them as to the purpose of the study and the requirements and expectations should they decide to participate. All potential interviewees will be assured that their participation is voluntary and that they will not be penalized if they do not participate.
